Fall reading list set

It’s that time of year again — when the seasons change and I get to make a new reading list. Woot! I’m actually pretty proud I read seven books this summer (and one of those was War and Peace), so I was ambitious and gave myself eight books to read this fall. Ooooh — it must be that “back to school” spirit that’s got me all energized to dive into some quality fiction, beginning with the latest Pulitzer Prize-winner, A Visit From the Goon Squad.

Here’s the lineup so far:

  • A Visit from the Goon Squad — Jennifer Egan
  • Possession — A.S. Byatt
  • The Devil in the White City — Erik Larson
  • Olive Kitteridge — Elizabeth Strout
  • The Sun Also Rises — Ernest Hemingway (re-read, Revisiting the Classics Project)
  • The Shipping News — E. Annie Proulx
  • Three Cups of Tea — Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin
  • This Boy’s Life — Tobias Wolff

By the way, I frackin’ love fall. I know I posted this video last year around this time, but in honor of my favorite season:
